Health, Safety and Environment

Speeding – It causes injury and death to humans and damages the asset.
Misuse – Bad driving habits cause confusion to road vehicles and develop traffic complications.
Idling – Every 30 minutes of idling costs at least (0.4) of a gallon of gas keeping in mind that every gallon of gas we use also produces about 19 pounds of carbon dioxide which has direct effect on environment.
Emission – Emissions of carbon monoxide, CO, hydrocarbons, HC, and nitrogen oxides, Nox, are very much affecting our health.

Vehicle theft – Vehicles may completely disappear and if not restored within an hour, they are probably damaged or disassembled.
Unauthorized use – Company vehicles are used on private business within or after the work hours. Some companies may not allow the personal use for more than 20-30 km per day.
Cargo theft – Cargo theft is common on large scale companies and is becoming a growing business.

Operating Costs

Operating Lifetime – Insurance has nothing to do with quality operating conditions towards vehicles. One time abuse may physically depreciate the vehicle by 10% to 80%. This also affects the quality of the service that can be provided to a client.
Spare Parts – Misuse of the vehicle causes damages to engine components, the exhaust and suspension systems, gears and tires. The availability of replacement is another challenge.
Breakdown Time – Breakdown time is a growing cost and considered the number one factor for losing business opportunities
Maintenance Workshops – The more workshops are held, the more space, technicians, engineers and resources are needed.
Back Office – Expenses related to communication, applications software and other resources.
Insurance premiums – Not all risks are covered by insurance and yet high premiums are paid.
Fuel Cost – Saving fuel is much related to over speeding and idling, but definitely.

Field Services

Respond time – Beating competition is not an easy task. Customers stay satisfied as long as the provided service is completed accurately on time.
Service Zones – What your fleet had performed there in a specific zone is hard to know information.
Rescheduling – Rescheduling your fleet at no time is another challenge.
Optimization – Assets in the field may operate several thousands of kilometers or hours to complete few tasks.
