Where the devices are fitted in and what measurements they perform?
Devices are fitted into vehicles. They capture position data from GPS satellites and monitors driving performance, speed, location changes. They can perform other measurements using the built-in electronic sensors.
How frequent?
Every 0.2 sec, the devices formulate the following two types of measurements:
Momentary Data: GPS location, GMT time, speed value, heading degree, acceleration strength, surrounding Zone, Road name, ignition status, voltage levels on Digital I/Os, readings on Analogue I/Os, data on Serial Ports, Battery voltage level or wire tampering.
Accumulator Data: Data between any two momentary data points like distance, time elapsed between two over speeds, Idling period, acceleration period, crossed Zones and followed roads. The device built-in software keeps monitoring if any of the limits are reached or a sequence of events is happened. Once detected, the device reports to backend server via the GPRS modem in real time (Live) or delayed (off line) for further processing.
How the systems transfer the captured data to backend server?
All captured data are transferred wirelessly to backend server using the cellular network and internet.
What the backend server do when data are received from vehicles?
Smart sensation System server keeps converting data streams into information. The server is programmed with your fleet policy and what action to take when one of your policy rules is broken down or not followed, it acts as follows:
First: it will immediately broadcast configurable alerts to concern departments:
SMS: Sends SMS to 5 mobile numbers (optional) .
Email: Sends alert to 5 Email addresses.
Alert Center: Displays alerts on Client PC (Fleet monitoring Screen).
Alarm: Fires an Alarm in case of disaster impact or theft.
Second: The GPS data are then used for tracking and locating fleet assets on real time.
