A structured cabling system is a complete system of cabling and associated hardware, which provides a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure. This infrastructure serves a wide range of uses, such as to provide telephone service or transmit data through a computer network.
As a definition, structured cabling refers to a standardized way of connecting the wires that allow computers and other electronics to communicate and network. Structured cabling is widely used in data centers, campuses, offices, apartment buildings, hospitals, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and is based on two types of cables: copper and fiber optics.
Simply, structured cabling solution will put all pieces in place. Even though every structured cabling is unique having different connection products, functions, equipment or installation, the specification and the requirements of the structure are similar, allowing us to work on a standard pattern.
